NOTICE UNDER LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT (1972 (Section 87(2))
VACANCY FOR A COUNCILLOR

Notice is given that a vacancy exists for a Councillor arising from the resignation of Karen Kenning.

A bye-election to fill the vacancy must be held if ten electors for the parish give notice in writing claiming such an election to:
The Returning Officer, Arun District Council, Civic Centre, Maltravers Road,
Littlehampton, West Sussex BN17 5LF

That request must be made within fourteen-days from the date of this notice (excluding a Saturday, Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas day, Good Friday or a Bank Holiday or day appointed for public thanksgiving or mourning)
The fourteen-day period ends on the 10 May, 2024.

If no poll is called for Kingston Parish Council intends to fill the vacancy by co-option.
Please note the term of office will be until normal elections take place in May 2027.
